Succulent Snow Globe Workshop | Bard & Baker, Troy NY
A footed glass globe, a drift of white pebble snow, live succulents, and a tiny figure standing in the middle of it. The last Sunday before Christmas, everything provided, and it comes home with you that day.
What you'll build
The last Sunday before Christmas, a coffee, and a snow globe you don't have to shake.
Your 6" globe sits on a glass stand, and the stand is what makes it. Set it on a shelf and it looks like something that came in a box. Inside, you'll build a little winter scene: fine white pebbles drifting like snow, two live succulents, moss, and a figurine of your choosing standing in the middle of it.
It's open at the top, so the plants actually live, and you can reach in and rearrange the snow whenever you want. Some people build a quiet little drift. Some build a whole village. Both are correct.

Good to know
This one comes back out every December. The globe is glass, the succulents keep going year round, and the snow swaps for moss or stone if you want it on your shelf in July.
Bard & Baker is the Capital District's first board game café, tucked into the historic Troy Record Building with over a thousand games on the shelves. Build in the morning, then stay and play something. Food and drinks available for purchase.
Families are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Come solo, come with your crew, bring whoever's in town for the holidays. Beginners are the whole point, so if you've killed every plant you've ever owned, you're in the right room.
