A win for your venue. A win for your guests.

A Plant & Sip workshop isn't just an event β€” it's an experience that fills seats, drives food and drink sales, and gives your community something to look forward to. Here's what partnering with The Planter actually means for your venue.

πŸ‘₯
We bring the guests
We market the event, sell the tickets, and fill the seats. You get a room full of engaged, spending customers who came specifically for the experience β€” and who stay for your food and drinks.
🚫
Zero cost, zero risk
There's no fee to host us and no financial risk to your venue. We bring everything β€” supplies, materials, instruction β€” and handle all the logistics. You provide the space. That's it.
βœ…
We handle everything
Setup, instruction, cleanup β€” it's all on us. Your staff doesn't lift a finger for the workshop itself. We run a tight, professional event and leave your venue exactly as we found it.
πŸ’‘ Our workshops typically run 1.5–2 hours and are designed to drive drink sales throughout. Guests are relaxed, creative, and in a buying mood β€” it's one of the most natural pairings a venue can offer.

If you have space and community, we have the rest

We've partnered with breweries, cafΓ©s, wine bars, restaurants, boutiques, and community spaces. If you have a table, some floor space, and a community that loves experiences β€” we want to talk.

Simple from first email to last leaf

Partnering with The Planter is designed to be effortless for your venue. Here's what the process looks like from inquiry to event day.

1
Reach out to us
Send us an email with your venue name, location, rough capacity, and what kind of partnership you're interested in β€” public pop-up, private event hosting, or ongoing recurring workshops. We respond within 48 hours.
2
We connect and plan together
We'll hop on a quick call or exchange emails to learn about your space, your audience, and your goals. Together we'll figure out the right event format, date, and setup that works for both of us.
3
We market and fill the event
We handle all the marketing β€” social media, our email list, local promotion. We sell the tickets, manage RSVPs, and communicate with attendees. You can promote through your channels too, but you don't have to.
4
We show up and run the whole thing
On event day we arrive early to set up, run the full guided workshop, and clean everything up before we leave. Your staff just does what they do β€” serve great food and drinks to a room full of happy guests.

What we bring. What we need.

We've designed our partnership model to ask as little as possible from your venue so you can focus on what you do best.

We handle all of this

🌱All plants, soil, materials & supplies
πŸ«™Glass containers for every participant
πŸ‘©β€πŸ«Guided instruction from start to finish
πŸ“£Marketing, ticketing & guest communication
πŸͺ£Setup and full cleanup after the event
πŸ“–Care guides for every guest's terrarium
All we need from you
  • Table space for participants β€” roughly one placemat per person
  • Access to a water source for occasional rinsing
  • Permission to promote the event at your venue and tag you in our marketing
  • A point of contact for day-of coordination
  • That's genuinely it β€” we take care of everything else

The real benefits for your venue

Beyond just filling seats for one night β€” here's what a Plant & Sip partnership does for your venue over time.

01
New customers who stay and spend
Workshop guests come for the plants and stay for your drinks. A 2-hour workshop is a 2-hour opportunity for your bar and kitchen to shine. Many first-time visitors become regulars.
02
Social media content that reaches new audiences
We tag your venue in every post, story, and piece of content we create around the event. Your space gets exposure to our full audience β€” people already primed to love what you offer.
03
A recurring revenue opportunity
Venues that host one workshop almost always come back for more. We can build a regular workshop series that fills your calendar on slower days and creates a predictable boost in foot traffic.
04
Community positioning
Hosting creative, feel-good experiences positions your venue as a community hub β€” not just a place to eat and drink. That reputation compounds over time and sets you apart.
05
Zero financial risk
You don't pay to host us. There's no upfront cost, no revenue split to negotiate, and no risk if attendance is lower than expected. We absorb the financial risk because we believe in the model.
06
A professional, polished experience
We show up prepared, run a tight event, and represent your venue well. Our guests leave with a handcrafted terrarium β€” and a strong memory of the place where they made it.

What venues usually ask us

Is there any cost to the venue?
No β€” there is no fee to host a Plant & Sip workshop at your venue. We cover all our own costs. In return, you provide the space and your guests benefit from a great experience that drives food and drink sales.
How much space do we need?
Each participant needs a workspace roughly the size of a standard placemat β€” about 12" x 18". A standard bar table, a few dining tables, or an open area with folding tables all work great. We'll walk through the exact setup with you before the event.
How many guests attend a typical workshop?
Our public pop-up workshops typically range from 15–40 guests depending on the venue size and how we promote it together. Private events booked at your venue can range from 10–50+ guests.
Do you handle your own marketing?
Yes β€” we handle all the marketing for our public pop-ups. We'll promote on our social channels, email list, and local community boards. We'll tag your venue in everything and provide shareable content if you want to promote through your own channels too.
Can we do recurring workshops?
Absolutely β€” and we encourage it. A monthly or bi-monthly workshop series creates a predictable event on your calendar, builds a loyal audience, and gives your community something to look forward to regularly. Many of our best venue relationships are ongoing partnerships.
What regions do you serve?
We currently operate in Hampton Roads, VA and Upstate New York. We're expanding along the East Coast β€” if you're outside those areas, reach out anyway. If you're the right fit we may be able to make it work or add you to our expansion list.
