     The Planter is unlike a typical plant shop or nursery in Upstate New York. Here, our customers will be given the opportunity to participate in making their own terrarium. Each customer will create their own masterpiece while given all the tools needed to do so at a designated workbench. Below are common questions answered. Q: How do the in store terrarium workshops work? 

A: Each customer is able to select their date/time through our online scheduler for their terrarium workshop. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your instructor and will be asked to check in by the name on the reservation. Then you will have the chance to select your terrarium vase and plants. The instructor will go over the building process step by step.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?

A: Just a form of ID. 

Q: How long does it take to build a terrarium? 

A: Each customer is able to go at their own pace. Average time is between 30min - 40min. 

Q: What is included in the terrarium price? 

A: Each terrarium vase will have a sticker price inside saying the total price and how many plants are included. Each vase will come with a specific number of plants, rocks, soil, decor & everything needed to build. Taxes is not included in the sticker price.

Q: Is building a terrarium beginner friendly? 

A: Yes! All ages and skill levels are able to create their own mini garden. 

Q: Can I bring my own terrarium?

A: Yes, customers are allowed to bring in their own vases. They will be charged retail pricing for the plants & terrarium supplies such as dirt and decor. 

Q: Does The Planter only offer terrarium workshops? 

A: No, we have a variety of options! We offer plant arrangements, kokedama, moss frames & more. Check out our events page for more info. 

Q: Is there a min or max of customers?

A: No min to book a workshop. There is a max of 55 people.
