🪴 Step-by-Step Instructions:
Â
1. Layer the Bottom with Pebbles
Start by adding about 1–2 inches of pebbles or small rocks to the bottom of your container. This creates drainage and keeps your succulent roots from sitting in water.
Â
2. Add Activated Charcoal (Optional)
If you’re using a container without airflow (like a closed lid), sprinkle a thin layer of activated charcoal over the rocks to prevent mold and odors.
Â
3. Add Potting Mix
Next, add an inch of succulent or cactus soil. Succulents love soil that drains quickly, so make sure it’s a light, sandy mix.
Â
4. Plant Your Succulents
Use your fingers or a spoon to dig small holes and nestle your succulents in place. Gently pat the soil around each plant so they stand up on their own. Be sure not to plant them too deep — they like breathing room!
Â
5. Decorate Your Terrarium
Now the fun part — decorate! Add moss, polished stones, mini figurines, or a pop of colored sand. This is where your creativity shines.
Â
6. Clean Up + Water Lightly
Use a dry paintbrush or napkin to dust off the leaves. Give your terrarium a very light watering, just enough to slightly moisten the soil (about once every 2–3 weeks, depending on your climate).

💡 Succulent Care Tips:
-
Place in bright, indirect sunlight
-
Do not overwater! Succulents store water in their leaves
-
Rotate occasionally for even growth
-
If leaves wrinkle, it’s thirsty. If they turn mushy, it’s overwatered
